City Clerk's Office

The City Clerk’s Office performs all duties mandated by state and local law, serving the City Council and the general public.  Their office hours are Monday - Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, closed on holidays and weekends.  The Clerks office also performs all duties related to City Council including agenda preparation and meeting notices, maintains custody of official records, books, contracts, and other documents and attests to the validity of public records and official municipal enactments, exercises administrative direction and control over the City’s records management program, and serves as liaison with the news media, public, and various City departments providing information and services relative to Council’s actions and public records/information.

Functions of the City Clerk's Office:

Liquor licenses and applications, City Council Agenda, Meeting Notices, Freedom of Information Act requests, Open Meetings Act, Publish legal notices and ordinances, Ordinances, Resolutions and Records Management, Contracts and agreements, Maintain codification update, Election information, Notary Public, Deputy Registrar, Attest and seal all municipal documents, Index and file all official documents for the municipality, File with the County offices - tax levies, annexations, plats of dedication, File annual audit reports with State and County officials
